Hello Fall 2023! (Ahsoka, The Flash... and More!)

After a long hiatus, the boys are back in town (and were not referring The Boys on Prime) ready to discuss most of what we missed over the Summer and then some. Trees are changing and the wind is shifting but hang tight while TBC_afp is here to deliver stuff where you may not learn anything yet guaranteed fun if you stick around. #mancougar

DC Studios Multi-Year Plan Announcement and Other News.

And just like that, one half of new head of DC Studios, James Gunn took to social media to announce their road map for the next several years thereby also consolidating its universe for films, TV streaming and comicbooks. No longer will there be differently confusing Batmen and alternate versions of characters under one roof. From non-Henry Cavill Superman to animated Creature Commandos to Authority anti-heros, this primary "phase" has been labeled, Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters. Even for the cynic, many hope we will get fresh solid storytellings enough to rival Kevin Feige's MCU. Let's wait and see.

The Last of Us (Spoiler Discussion) X In The News

From Super Mario Bros. (1993) to Assassin's Creed and to recently Uncharted (starring Tom Holland), videogames turned into movies and/or TV shows have notoriously flopped one after another. It is an established rule to avoid watching from this genre altogether yet one begs to ask why the entertainment industry continues to churn when the response revies are usually negative.

As of January of 2023, HBO Max has released the live action post-apocalyptic series, The Last of Us, based on the massively popular Sony Playstation game of the same name starring Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (A Game of Thrones). Currently is it enjoying high marks on Rotten Tomatoes (99% Average/ 96% Audience) but is it up to TBC_afp snuff?

Black Adam Spoiler Review and More...

Since the mid 2000s, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, then dubbed "the most electrifying man in sports entertainment" had been attached to the project, Black Adam. For many, Black Adam is an unknown whereas for comic book fans he is in DC Comics, SHAZAM!'s chief antagonist, poweful enough even to match the likes of Superman. Forward to late 2022, the project finally comes to fruition in a worldwode cinematic release, all the while Warner Bros ushers in new leadership to its rebranded division DC Studios (formerly DC Films), headed by Marvel Studio veterans, James Gunn and Peter Safran.
